Reiki

Reiki is a form of energy healing  based  on the principle that energy is channelled to the patient to activate the natural healing processes of the body; the body’s own healing mechanisms begin to function more effectively which helps restore all aspects of the person; body, mind, emotions and spirit. It is a gentle, natural and safe method of healing suitable for anyone and can be used to complement all other medical or therapeutic techniques.

Reiki is administered by the hands, placed lightly on or near the body of the client who is fully clothed either lying down or seated, to allow the healing energy to flow. The subtle energy system is harmonised, brining balance, feelings of relaxation, mental clarity, pain relief, decreased anxiety and an overall sense of well-being. Research has shown that this occurs because the activity of parasympathetic autonomic nervous system in the patient increases significantly.
