Paula Levack
Counsellor
Sometimes, we hit a bump in the road and struggle to find our way forward on our own. Life can throw hurdles at us, leaving us without the tools to overcome them, sometimes creating deep wounds that refuse to heal on their own. Maybe you and your partner have lost sight of the love and connection between you, or maybe there is something in your personal life that is difficult to overcome and heal from.
I am a BACP-registered psychotherapeutic counsellor, working with couples and individuals. Using an ever-growing toolbox of modalities and techniques, mainly based on psychodynamic and emotionally focused therapy approaches, I can help you understand what is going on for you, whether that is in your relationship or personal life. I want to meet you where you are and together we can find a way forward.
I have diplomas in Relationship Counselling and Psychodynamic Counselling, a degree in Psychology, and a certificate in walk and talk therapy. I have worked in the charity sector, offering therapy to both individuals and couples. I also work in early years education, which adds to my understanding of the strains that parenting and family life can place on a person and a relationship. Having lived in three different countries gave me a personal understanding of what it is like to adapt to new cultures and environments.
Alongside sessions here at the clinic, I offer walk and talk therapy in the park nearby, for those who would find being outdoors and moving more comfortable than sitting indoors. Sessions move indoors in bad weather.
If any of this speaks to you, please get in touch. I offer a free, no-commitment, 15-minute introductory call, so you can ask questions and see whether what I offer and how I work is right for you.
