Looking for the right counsellor and beginning your journey into therapy – or even revisiting therapy after some time, can feel overwhelming and daunting. But it doesn’t need to be. I hope this space gives you a little insight into how my practice might be able to support you and what you can expect from counselling with me.

I’m a fully qualified therapist and offer face-to-face and online counselling to adults, on a long or short-term basis.

I work in an empathic, non-judgemental, and compassionate way, to explore what is going on for you. Everyone’s needs and circumstances are different, so my approach will flex to suit you.

My training and counselling approach is based on Transactional Analysis which is designed to promote personal growth and change and is regarded as an important therapy for well-being, and for helping individuals to reach their potential in all aspects of life.

I’ll provide you with a safe, calm, and reflective space to be yourself, where we can explore and process your thoughts, feelings, and experiences and build from there, working towards achieving the change you want.

I’m a qualified Humanistic Counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). I’m committed to ethical practice, and attend regular supervision, continued professional development, and my own personal therapy, to continually increase my awareness, knowledge, and skills.

Before embarking on private practice, I worked as a volunteer counsellor in the NHS supporting people with addiction and substance misuse, and with a registered charity in Hampshire that provides support to people affected by domestic abuse and violence. My clinical work has given me the experience, knowledge, and understanding I need to help people struggling with a range of difficulties.

If you’re unsure about talking therapy and whether it would be helpful for you, I’m happy to provide a free, pre-arranged (no obligation) 20- minute phone consultation to help you decide. I believe it’s really important to find the right therapist for you. This is an opportunity for you to get a feel for how we would be able to work together and to ask any questions you may have about counselling or my approach. It’s also an opening for me to understand what has brought you to counselling at this point in your life and what you would like to get out of therapy.

Cost: £50 per 50-minute session, whether taking place online or in person, sessions are usually weekly.
